Home Safety Tips
Thanks to the Corona Pandemic we all got more time to be at home & take care more on ourselves as well as our loved one because we have to worry about our safety more than ever. Therefore I thought to share a simple checklist for you to monitor Home safety.
Here we go…
Electrical

- Use extension Rods only as a temporary measure
- Do not plug more than one equipment in a single socket
- All electrical equipment is switched off when not in use (train your family)
- All electrical cabling & switches are in good working condition
- Check whether any curtain hangings covering the AC window
LPG

- Gas line checked for Leakages
- Gas cylinder knob switched off at night
- Check the position Gas stove vis a vis operating position. (Random check on the dress of your spouse/maid whether their dress is near to the burner)
- Proper ventilation in the kitchen
Medicines

- Medicines are not left in open
- Medical kit is having all the recommended drugs and is up to date
- Medicines are not at the reach of the children
Loft & Cupboards

- Check whether any falling hazard of boxes from the loft.
- Check whether anything hanging from the loft which children reach and pull
- All the cupboards & wardrobes are closed when not in use
Housekeeping & Cleanness

- Proper cleanliness of the floor is done ALWAYS
- Bathrooms clear of water spills
- Bedrooms & Study room clear of waste paper
- Waste disposal is proper
- Mosquitoes/ Pest breeding areas cleared eg., in flower pots
General

- Fire Extinguisher easily accessible and in good condition
- Locks on doors & Windows working properly
- Emergency evacuation space is clear of obstructions
- Children are not left unattended
Carefulness costs you nothing but carelessness may cost your life.
So spend a little time & have a look at your home & get confirmed you all are well safe from everything.
